Big Kid 3.5Y in Women’s and Men’s Shoe Sizes
A big kid 3.5Y is about a women's US 5 and a men's US 3.5. In UK and EU sizes it is a UK 3 and an EU 35.5. That is why a big kid's shoe often fits a teenager or an adult with small feet.
| US | UK | EU | Foot length | Stage | Women's US | Men's US |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3.5Y | junior 3 | 35.5 | 21.9 cm / 8.6 in | big kid | 5 | 3.5 |
Good to know
- US children's sizes run in two scales: C (child) up to 13.5C, then Y (youth) from 1Y. UK sizes restart at 1 after 13.5, so "UK 2" can mean a baby shoe or a junior shoe; this page says which.
- The numbers are the consensus of 7 brands' official charts. Brands disagree by up to a UK size and about 1 cm of foot length, so treat the foot length as approximate and check the brand's own chart.
- To measure, stand your child on paper with the heel against a wall, mark the longest toe and measure in centimetres. Children's feet grow quickly, so measure before every new pair.
