UK Junior Size 2.5 in US and EU Kids’ Shoe Sizes

A UK junior size 2.5 is about a US 3Y and an EU 35, for a foot about 21.6 cm (8.5 in) long. Brands differ by up to half a size, so measure your child's foot and size up if it falls between two sizes.

Good to know

• US children's sizes run in two scales: C (child) up to 13.5C, then Y (youth) from 1Y. UK sizes restart at 1 after 13.5, so "UK 2" can mean a baby shoe or a junior shoe; this page says which.
• The numbers are the consensus of 7 brands' official charts. Brands disagree by up to a UK size and about 1 cm of foot length, so treat the foot length as approximate and check the brand's own chart.
• To measure, stand your child on paper with the heel against a wall, mark the longest toe and measure in centimetres. Children's feet grow quickly, so measure before every new pair.
